Daily Program
Preliminary schedule for the week
This is an example of the hikes that may take place during the week, and the schedule is subject to change. Safety always comes first, and we will adapt the week according to the conditions from day to day.

Arrival Day
We arrive in Bad Gastein and check in at Hotel Eden Rock. We begin with a welcome meeting where we go through the plans for the week. After that, there’s time to explore the village, browse the shops along the main street, and get to know Bad Gastein.
In the evening, we enjoy our first dinner at the hotel and prepare for tomorrow’s hike.

Hiking at Higher Altitudes in Schlossalm
Today, higher altitudes are on the agenda. After a hearty breakfast, we take a short bus ride to the neighboring village of Bad Hofgastein. From there, we ride the lift all the way to the summit at an impressive 2,050 meters above sea level.
Once at the top, we hike along beautiful trails while enjoying spectacular views of the Gastein Valley. With a bit of luck, we may spot marmots, mountain goats, and probably even a few mooing alpine cows. We enjoy today’s lunch together at one of the many cozy mountain huts in the area. Satisfied and refreshed, we then make our way back down to the village, where the bus will be waiting to take us back to Bad Gastein.

Hiking Through the Pine Forest on Graukogel
After a hearty breakfast, we get ready for today’s magnificent hike on Graukogel (2,492 meters above sea level). Graukogel is known for its warm springs with fresh thermal water. We take the lift up to the top station at 1,950 meters and continue hiking to the beautifully located alpine lake Palfnersee, situated at 2,074 meters above sea level. For those who would like to cool off, there will be time for a refreshing swim.
We then continue along the hiking trail Zirbenweg, through the famous Swiss stone pine forest. Lunch is served at Graukogelhütte, which is well known for its homemade schnapps. After lunch, we take the lift back down to Bad Gastein, resting our legs while enjoying the incredible views.
After the day’s hike, we gather for Canvas & Cava, with canvases, paints, brushes, and a glass of sparkling wine (or a non-alcoholic alternative). Here, creative spirits are free to express themselves, inspired by the magical views of the Alps.

Beautiful Views Over Hohe Tauern National Park
We begin the day with a bus ride to one of the most beautiful areas in the Gastein Valley: Sportgastein in Hohe Tauern National Park. We start our hike from Nassfeld (1,580 meters above sea level), located at the very end of the valley, and hike in different directions depending on the group’s difficulty level.
The hiking trails offer spectacular views of some of Austria’s highest mountains and glaciers. Along the way, we pass bubbling streams and blooming alpine meadows, with the chance to spot marmots, mountain goats, and alpine cows. We enjoy a well-deserved lunch break at one of the many cozy mountain huts before taking the bus back to Bad Gastein and getting ready for a well-earned After Walk.

Long run & strength session
Today is a hiking-free day. Instead, we will start the day with a strength training session followed by a long run with Stockholm Run Club.
