Join the Globala Skolan at the University of Gothenburg on a wonderful ski trip to Bad Gastein 17–24 of January 2026, and experience fantastic skiing, comfortable accommodation, delicious food, and festive after-ski! Austrian Bad Gastein is the favorite destination in the Alps for students. There is something for everyone, both experienced skiers and beginners. The ski system includes 210 km of slopes across five ski areas, with elevations up to 2700 meters above sea level. The highest slopes can be found in Sportgastein, located at the end of the valley, featuring long and wide carving runs and charming restaurants. A must-visit during the week!

In addition to amazing skiing, the village is also famous for its legendary nightlife with a wide range of restaurants, after-ski places, and bars – also known as "The Nightlife District." Experience the popular Silver Bullet Bar (aka "Kulan"), where the party spreads over two floors with three bars, live music, and foaming beer in an American Western setting. Students traveling with STS Alpresor’s Student Weeks receive a student wristband with great discounts at the best bars in town, including Silver Bullet Bar!

During the week, there will also be a “Picnic on the Slopes” (not included in the price). With views over the Gastein Valley, we take a break from skiing to enjoy a festive picnic right on the slopes. Next to Kleine Scharte in the Schlossalm area, we set up a large picnic buffet with sausages, ham, cheeses, sweets, and other Austrian specialties and drinks. Together, we enjoy the sun, snow, good music, and delicious food surrounded by mountain peaks.

In Bad Gastein, we stay comfortably at Hotel Gisela or Ski Lodge Reineke, beautifully located in the heart of the village with views over the Gastein Valley. The hotel offers excellent facilities, and the cozy restaurant serves a large breakfast buffet every morning and delicious three-course dinners in the evening.
